Introduction
Cleanliness requirements for products and components used in high-tech applications are becoming increasingly stringent. More and more products/components are therefore processed and assembled in cleanrooms. The stricter the cleanliness requirements on the product, the stricter the requirements on the behaviour of the operators in the cleanroom.
The most contaminating factor in a cleanroom is usually humans. To prevent contamination caused by humans (hair, flakes, saliva, etc), strict rules of behaviour apply in a cleanroom, such as regulations for wearing protective clothing (hair net, mouth mask, coverall, overshoes, etc) and rules for handling the product. However, setting up rules does not make a product/component cleaner. The way operators in a cleanroom follow cleanroom behaviour rules does have a major impact on the cleanliness of the cleanroom and the contamination risks for the products present.
The main objective of this course is the correct application of cleanroom behaviour rules in practice. In this course, participants learn the applicable cleanroom behaviour rules and raise awareness of the possible consequences their behaviour in the cleanroom may have on products and components. A hands-on course with practical exercises include gowning procedures and assessing the cleanliness of products and the workplace.
After following this course, operators know the cleanroom rules and are able to apply these rules correctly. New cleanroom operators can start working in the cleanroom quickly and well-prepared.
