Workshop Particle Measurements

Introduction

This workshop will discuss techniques for measuring particles on surfaces and in the air.

Methods to measure particles that will be discussed include: UV light inspection, bright light inspection, endoscopy/boroscopy, PDM Particle Deposition Measurement (particle fall out), Scanning Electron Microscope, Stereo Microscope, Airborne Particle counter (measurement of particles in air), Liquid Particle counter (measurement of particles in liquids).

Sampling methods discussed are:

- PMC

- C-stub

- Nylontip

In addition to visual inspection methods, various optical systems will be presented and demonstrated during the workshop..
